Spring Garden Advisors devotes the major portion of its efforts to evaluating potential investments and acquisitions in companies in selected sectors of the garden products field.Through explorations with a series of private equity institutions, we have created a unique and in-depth understanding of the attractiveness of this industry and have formalized the interest of a core group of institutions in investing in it.
This has led to the establishment of our proprietary institutional investment program, the Garden Industry Institutional Investment Program.
Consultative Services
From time to time, Spring Garden undertakes consultative projects for operating companies in the industry. These are generally companies that are not, for a number of reasons, candidates for acquisition.In these projects, Spring Garden brings an experienced perspective to building business value, providing the tools to improve both short- and long-term revenues and profitability that lead to business value enhancement.
Our Approach
Our first step in all valuations of companies for our equity investment program or a consultative assignment is to address a company’s current market and business position vis a vis industry opportunities. We then study a company’s functional business areas, including:
- Sales coverage
- Production efficiency
- Product line profitability and potential
- Current profitability and market potential by business segment, channels of distribution, and product lines
- Management depth and succession
- Business controls and financial reporting
- Competitors and their strategies

Although Spring Garden follows a disciplined approach with each assignment, it consistently applies its dual expertise in valuations as well as strategizing to focus on a client’s particular problem area and develop solutions that are results oriented.
